Ann: I'm originally from Denver. We moved around and moved to Laramie in 1967, and then in 1986, we moved back to Denver. We raised our three girls in Laramie. The youngest one was six months old when he moved here and 19 when we moved to Denver. She didn’t want to go to Denver, she stayed here.
Gracelyn: Is there something that brings you back to Laramie or just your daughter?
Ann: It’s my daughter, she stays here and Denver never really was for me. It's busy.
Gracelyn: Will you tell me a little bit about your photos?
Ann: This is my oldest daughter and her husband and at the time that picture was taken, they lived in Memphis, but their family lives in Abilene, Texas. That photo was taken in Abilene, they are the F.
This is their daughter, and she's the one who brainstormed all of this and gave everybody their instructions, so that little family her and her husband and the little one at the time was maybe one and a half to two years old, and she's 16 now. They are the A.
This is my second daughter and they lived in Dallas and came to Adelaide, I guess for the pictures. and these two little kids are now 25 and 27. They are the M.
And this one is their daughter (pointing at the I in the picture) and and she said it will look dumb if I am all by myself, so they gave her the Texas star. So she's the I.
This is my daughter that lives in Laramie. This picture was taken right behind where I lived and I didn’t know they were taking the picture! And this little guy was an avid skateboarder but he's now 27 they both live in Laramie now, and he is a fairer in the surrounding area. They are the L.
This is Paul and Terry's oldest son and his partner, Aaron and Jacob. They are the Y. They lived in Boston, but their picture was taken when they visited his family--his mom and dad--in Memphis. So everybody had to send their pictures to Cheryl, and then she did the layout. She put it all together and matched everything, did the layout, and had it framed. That was our Christmas present in 2009.
Gracelyn: It’s gorgeous, It's such a good idea. I love it.
Ann: Well, they couldn't do it any other time because for them, within the year, they had another child (a little boy) and then she was very busy. Then my husband passed away four months later. He would just stand there and look at the picture.
